About Me

My name is Hamir Hassan Abdi, born and raised in the culturally diverse town of Moyale, ​Kenya. Growing up in a community where the Garre, Borana, Gabra, Burji, and Ethiopians ​coexist has enriched my understanding and appreciation of different cultures and ​traditions. As a member of the Garre community, I am fluent in Borana, Kiswahili, English, ​and a bit of Somali which has helped me connect deeply with my roots and heritage.

My passion for Information Technology has led to the development of strong skills in ​system and network administration, digital literacy programs, and technical support. I ​have actively contributed to educational and community development through projects ​like the Digital Literacy Programme with the Ministry of Education, WASH data collection ​for 41 primary schools in collaboration with Finn Church Aid, and a child protection ​initiative with UNICEF. These experiences have not only enhanced my technical skills but ​also demonstrated the positive impact of technology on communities.

I am known for my proactive approach, organizational skills, and dedication to creating a ​secure and efficient technological environment. Beyond IT, my interests extend to nature ​and football, where I find joy in exploring the outdoors and staying active on the field.
